Teacher Resources

Natalie Lund taught middle and high school English in Houston, Texas for several years before pursuing a career in writing. As a teacher, she loved when authors and publishers provided book discussion guides because they made it easier for her to facilitate literature circles, book clubs, and Socratic seminars. Below, you can find downloadable guides for The Sky Above Us and We Speak in Storms as well as a bonus playlist for We Speak in Storms.

School Visits and Library Events

I’m happy to schedule in-person and virtual school visits, book clubs, and library events. Please email me to check availability.

Natalie was a wonderful speaker who had the kids (and adults) engaged in every word she said. The photos were especially powerful in this visual-driven world. Her stories behind the novel were so satisfying to those of us who read the book and tantalizing to those who hadn’t yet. She was so open and genuine about her experiences—truly inspiring!

Natalie had the students riveted! It is such a pleasure to see an author using her teaching experience to work the crowd. I spoke with several students afterward who appreciated that she shared her real life experiences with the publishing process.
